Details:

Attorney Patricia Hattersley represented a 17 year old male client in the East Los Angeles (East LA) Juvenile Court. He attended an unsupervised party with several classmates following a school function. All of the minors were drinking alcohol and/or smoking marijuana. At one point, Patricia's client engaged in what he thought was consensual sex with one of the females. She later claimed that she was too intoxicated to give consent and the young man was charged with rape.

The probation department recommended that he be placed in a long-term, locked down facility for serious offenders. Attorney Patricia Hattersley was able to get the allegation reduced to a sexual battery charge and, after a contested hearing, the young man was released on probation.

As a result, he will not have to register as a sex offender, and, he will eventually be able to completely seal his juvenile record.

ATTORNEY RAY FOUNTAIN'S RECENT CASE RESULTS
IMMEDIATE CRIMINAL DEFENSE
Details:

Ray Fountain recently represented a young man who was attending a Junior College. The young man sent an email that he thought only his friends would read. In the email that was intended only to his friends to read, the young man threatened to bomb his school and his place of work. He intended this to be a joke. Unfortunately, another non-friend student saw the email post and called the Police.

The young man graduated from the Junior College and was accepted into one of the UC Colleges in the State of California. Then, he received a letter from a prosecutor's office telling him that a criminal complaint had been filed against him for making the bomb threat.

A conviction for this crime would have turned this young man's life upside down.

Fortunately, Attorney Ray Fountain was able to settle the case so that the criminal charge can eventually be dismissed with the client not having a criminal conviction on his record at all.

The Client and his mother were very thrilled with the outcome of the case and  thanked Attorney Ray Fountain for the excellent job that he did and said they would forever be grateful.
